Caribbean Microfinance Capacity Building Programme (CARIB-CAP II)

Executing a communications, public education and information dissemination programme for the Caribbean Microfinance Capacity Building Programme (CARIB-CAP II) targeted to a variety of audience groups in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean region.

CARIB-CAP II is a programme funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) designed to strengthen the institutional capacity of Caribbean microfinance institutions, increase the institutional capacity of the Caribbean Microfinance Alliance, and to disseminate information related to microfinance in the region.

Key elements include

  • -assisting in the development and maintenance of a project website;
  • -designing monthly newsletters and other knowledge products (brochures, press releases, speeches, etc.) for distribution to stakeholders in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean;
  • -implementing a regional public relations programme;
  • -working with the project team and donor organisations to promote the Caribbean Microfinance Forum V to be held in Suriname in 2014; and
  • -documenting participant success stories for dissemination via traditional and online media channels.
